The overall goal of the Moldova Civil Society Strengthening Program is to strengthen representative democracy. AED Moldova strivest to achieve this by supporting a constituent-driven, financially viable civil society.

 

Civil Society Organizations serve people and in order to render quality support services they need our support. MCSSP aims to assist CSOs in becoming stronger and more credible. Through the participating organization, we seek to cover various geographical regions in Moldova, including the left bank of the Nistru river, as well as different sectors. AED Moldova offers equal opportunities for participation in grant activities to women and women-run organizations.

 

AED/MCSSP’s ultimate goal is to develop sustainable Civil Society Organizations, not only in the financial sense but also through increased accountability and responsiveness to its constituents and improved credibility among donors and citizens in general.

 

To achieve these goals we intend to provide organizational development training and technical assistance and to provide a set of grants to the selected Civil Society Organizations. In such a way, MCSSP designed three different levels of grants programs:
