AED will seek to build on the existing relationships with different donors active in Moldova in order to identify not only donor – funded NGO support activities but also those initiatives designed to promote private sector involvement in advocacy and social change activities.
During a first Civil Society Donors’ meeting organized by AED Moldova, representatives from the Eurasia Foundation, Soros Foundation, the European Union Delegation of European Commission to Moldova, the US Embassy, UNDP, Center for Human Rights and Democracy, and the Government of Moldova (GOM) committed to involve in a donors mapping exercise to determine which civil society activities are being funded by which donor and to agree to a regular schedule of at least quarterly coordination and information sharing meetings.
